Therapy can be a place where you can express thoughts and feelings that tend to stay bottled up. Once these thoughts and feelings are expressed and examined, therapy becomes a safe place to rehearse new ways of being. New ways to manage stress, new ways to relate to your loved ones, new ways to see yourself. It becomes possible to find strengths that were hidden underneath your worries, to nurture creative ways of solving life's struggles. While we can't erase all the struggles in life or undo pains of our past, together we can find new ways to sit with these realities so that life feels a little easier.
